So,
the first race of the year is over. I did the supertour sprint race at west yellowstone. I don't think I had my best showing but, I felt I raced as hard as I could. I finished 67th (which was much better than last year, but not quite what I was hoping for.) The field was pretty tough. Not as many college teams showed up, but all of the top industry teams were here. I may have placed a little better if I had had more time on snow before I raced. It was a little hard to coordinate the movements at a fast tempo, but who knows, maybe everybody else was rusty too.
Anyway you slice it, I proved that I am faster than last year (though not fast enough yet), and I am happy about that. it is just the beginning and I hope I can continue to improve throughout the rest of the season.
